    Default Moose Huniting ??

I Just bought an 18ft jet boat. I dont have any leave this year for moose season. I was wondering what river is my best bet for moose thats within a 2.5 hour drive for a 2 day hunt. any info would be great! I understand you don't want to give away your honey whole so sorry if this post is out of line.

With those limitations in mind I would spend some time this summer scouting areas along the Susitna river and give it a go.

Once you're here a month, it will automatically appear.

Well, considering you're in Fairbanks then your best options are the Tanana from either Fairbanks or Nenana, or the Salcha. There's no way you can get to the Su in 2.5 hours from Fairbanks.

Understand that river hunting from those access points will be busy, but it is doable.
If cave men had been trophy hunters the Wooly Mammoth would be alive today

I had no idea you were in Fairbanks as your original did not indicate such, obviously I assumed you were in the Anchorage area. Sorry for the suggestion regarding the Su. Erik's suggestion is a good one. Good Luck !
