Default Anchorage Gunsmith for Blueing work..

Looking for someone in the Anchorage/Valley Area that can do a full rebluing job on my Winchester. Got the rifle for $300 and aint trying to dump $300 just into a bluing project. If anyone has any pointers to a small shop that can handle this I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance

Most anyone who blues guns for a living is going to charge 300.00+ for a full reblue on a rifle. Shop around, but good luck on that.

GB is correct. Bluing is not cheap and I can't say I'd have any desire for cheap bluing on a rifle anyways. You might consider a couple of coating options. hunt_ak is a member that applies Duracoat to firearms. It is not bluing, but you should come out cheaper. There are all kinds of spray-on/bake-on (i.e. Teflon, ArcticKote, Black T, Black Ice, etc.) finishes that might suffice for your needs and they should be under $200. Here is a link to the Duracoat work:

Hmm? I wasn't doubting you, just complementing your price!
