Default Go my new Arch and rocket launchers done

Had a soft top, so I built this to give me a platform for my shrimp pots and keep the rods out of the cabin while fishing! A freind had the bended and I had the welder!!

Nice looking Modification. Good space management. I also like your net setup.

    Default net holder weld

What did you do (process, settings) to weld the net holder tube onto the frame tube ?

That is a difficult fit up to get the weld metal down to where the two tubes contact eachother.

I was going to use a small piece of flat bar to hold the 2 rounds apart, but I didnt want it to stick out further and not line up wiht the gunnal. I just butted the 2 rounds together and welded a 1/2" weld on each side, looks just fine. On the top tubes I used a 2" end mill and copped the end and left a small open gap on the bottom to drain . I want the rod butt to stopp on the bottom and not set on the reels.

Looks good, I need to get off my butt and do something like that. I like the angles, nice on the eyes. When I did the Extended transom this winter, I had them add some channel to the gunnel for a future bolt on/off rack.

Mig or Tig for welding the tubing?

It looks great, I would love to have something similar on my Wooldridge AK
