    Default Safety Course

    Hey all,

I moved up to Anchorage about a year ago and last year most of the fishing I did were in well fished areas so I wasn't too worried about the four legged critters. Anyway I am planning on going to some remote sites this year and I didn't feel comfortable with getting bear spray so I went out and got a Glock 20 which will make me feel better at least for the two legged vermits and also the four legged. I have never owned a handgun before so I am looking for a course where I can learn to shot, clean, and basic safety of the handgun since I don't want to go out with something that I can not safely handle.

Are there any good places that might have a course I can take or anything that will cover most of those points?

    Any advice is appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Kyle

I haven't been in Anchorage for a while, but the best here in Fairbanks is Joe Nava http://www.kfar660.com/Programs/JoeN...ersCorner.aspx You might start by giving him a call. I'd be willing to bet there's someone he could recommend in the Anchorage area....Louis
