    Default starter. problem

I have a late 80's 2 stroke 35 hp merc and the steel braket that hold the starter near the fly wheel is broke....so it looks like the braket is welded on to the engine it self. How hard it thi@ gonna be to fix.

Sounds like some kind of redneck fix would be the way to go... hose clamp? zip ties? Duct tape? Drill and tap a couple screw holes and make your own bracket? if it is welded it was probably meant to never break, or so they thought..

Duck, I have an 80ish 35 merc engine that is blown. If you need a part, take pics of what you need and I'll see if I can salvage a part or two for you...no charge, but you might have to take a trip into the valley to pick it up

I'd have to look at it tonight to see how it all fits together...
