    Default Hooligan

When does the hooligan run at 20 mile river? Any place closer to Talkeetna with a good run?

Default Check the dip net thread!

Run has started, I'm headed down to 20 mile Tuesday and Wed around 11am so if you want a up date I'll post it!

The Susitna and Yetna Rivers get good runs of hooligan. I haven't done it personally, but I've heard of people dipping them near the mouth of Willow Creek from the shore. Maybe someone else can chime in on this one?

Almost took a black bear feeding on hooligan on the Yetna last June, but he slipped into the brush about 3 seconds too soon.

Yeah, they're in at Twentymile. If you know anything about the Su, they get a massive run that few people fish. Might want to talk to Mat-Su Fish and Game about spots and access.

They are in at 20 mile. I filled a 5 gallon bucket in about 20 min about 2 hours after high tide.

You can dip them out of the su right by willow creek. Timing is tough, you just never know when they will be there. Usually I start checking around memorial day.

    Default Kenai Hooligans

Does anybody know if they're catching them in the Kenai yet?

I was down there King fishing on Wed and it didnt look like there was much action where we were. Although we did see some eagles swooping down on one area of the river, but didnt see them catch anything.

    Huh?

I didn't feel like reading that mashed together thing, but it didn't look like it had anything to do with hooligan....
