    Default Biggest fear?

My left knee, I need an op on it and I'm always wary of stressing it too much in case it collapses.
After that it'd be greenie hippie tree huggers and dope growers.

Falling off a cliff. that would put a major dampner on my day. Drowning in a creek would suck also.

I appreciate all of the humor on this thread as I agree that I simply don't have "fear" of the outdoors. I realize that everything you list (and more besides) can be dangerous and that I should take precautions, but I'd never consider it "fear." I sense that shopping in Anchorage is more dangerous than being in the wild, but I guess it's simply a matter of perspective.

    Default a few

Falling through muskeg over my head, falling or tumbling down a steep rock face or cliff, getting mauled by a bear, slipping in a swift river while trying to cross and drowning. I worry about these 4 the most but none more than the other.

I fear nothing out in the field, with all that I have lived through if I was to die out doing what I love, then it was meet to be. What I do fear however is something happening to me like getting old and not being able to still go hunting and fishing. That scares the excrement out of me.

It is never the four-legged critters that scare me. It is the nut on two legs that just gets a new gun and has not figured out how to use it before he heads out into the woods.

The drive to the trailhead is usually the most harrowing part of the trip.

Apart from the that...idiots with guns can make me pretty nervous too.
