Default Since we're praising the '06...

    Nukalpiaq--"30-06 - A true hunter's cartridge."

Going bear hunting tomorrow and thought I'd take "Mr. T" outta the safe and wake him up. Didn't do too bad.

Smallest group measured .750 for a .442" group
Largest group measured 1.125 for a .817" group (yes, I have calipers)

Yeah, yeah, I know they're only 3-shot groups...

Off the shooting bag. If I had the Lead Sled I think I could've tightened it up a bit...

Hey, you're not supposed to be able to do that. Hasn't anyone told you that the Tikkas aren't accurate? Now that someone has told you the rifle probably won't shoot that well anymore.

    Default Ooops!

Would somebody tell him his guns defective - they put the bolt on the wrong side!
I would say you are ready to go fetch up a bear with targets like that - nicely done!

hunt_ak, those finnish rifles with their cold hammer forged barrels sure can shoot can't they, and hey it is a good old 30'06 too. By the way that is a nice looking stock, looks great with the stainless steel barreled action. What loads were you using?

Thats what I keep hearing. If it goes south now, I'm blaming it on our favorite Faribanks gunsmith...

The target on the right is 220 grain factory loads and the target on the left is:

    180 grain Speer Spitzers/42 grain H335/CCI primers/Federal cases...

Since somebody pointed out that the bolt is on the wrong side......you'd better get rid of that Burris scope too (sarcasm). People will have you convinced that scope surely isn't possible of that type of accuracy, and are you SURE you could focus clearly through that terrible Burris to actually see the cross hairs? And the target?

Serioulsy though......nice groups through a nice light rifle. My uncle has the same exact rifle (lefty bolt too) and he's getting similiar groups. Sarcasm aside, that Burris scope looks sharp as heck atop of that rifle too. What model is it??

Really nice...especially since it's obvious you stand on the wrong side of the rifle, and use the wrong eye!

Good luck, and take some pictures!

Laughing out loud as I read this again, and I picture your rifle saying "I ain't gettin on no **** airplane"...and "I pitty the fool who get's downrange".

That IS one sweet looking rig!
Did I mention that I LOVE the 30-06!!!
