Default Best for Cherrystone and chowder clams?

Now that cherry stones will be fresh and out this week, What is the best way you like to cook them. Steamed, Baked? Anyone bake chowder clams?
My mom used to throw them on a cookie sheet, half shelled, put a dollop of tomato sauce on them, a little bread crumbs and broil for just a few minutes. They were just delicious. Anyone else?

If a dipnetter dips a fish and there is no one around to see/hear it, Did he really dip?

Small ones steamed, bigger ones ground and make baked stuff clams or New England chowda. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

I use to love my CherryStones with hot butter along with a few ears of corn and a nice cold beverage. Heck, throw in a few lobstas for sh-ts and giggles. "But" I'll trade them all in for some Fresh Spots, a bucket of littlenecks and king crab anyday.
