    Default Clamming

Has anybody ever heard of using salt to catch razor clams? If so, is it legal?

    Default Salt Shake some clams

I saw the salt treatment demonstrated on a Youtube video and I would like to try it myself. Reminiscent of pouring coke on top of white fish or pork to see the worms perform their mini-cobra routine.

I'll bet someone on the forum has tried this, they don't miss too much here....

    Default paper bag

I heard of folks having great luck with paper bags similiar to Snipe hunting. The key is that you have to wait in hiding on a really good clam trail.....

Razor clam decoys and a call works if you can find a nice quiet beach. You can usually get a bunch while digging your pit blind too.

What pattern and color camo are you guys using I've tried a bunch but they keep seeing me. I think them little buggers got eyes like a sheep. Seen a clam gun at freddies, 5" big around I'd like to see those bullets. I'll stick with my trustie shovel handed down from my great great grandma.

Use a hen clam decoy when they are rutting. Never fails.

    Default Salty Dawg!

I had been told about the procedure by some entertaining campers from Washington, while @ Ninilchik. Here is a video from Japan:

Not advocating one way or the other -- just interesting footage!
Personally, I prefer the 'feel' technique - via rake, shovel or hands!

    YMMV
