    Default kodiak Tuna!

I been working on my truck all morning, the alternator isn’t charging, couldn’t figure it out so I left for trolling at about noon to one of my hot spots, had one and lost it never did see it. I put another blue water herring on and about an hour later I pulled the down rigger up released the line from the clip and was thinking I would try this new lure I picked up at a show, I grabbed the new seeker rod and started cranking the accurate reel in slowly and felt a slight resistance, so I jerked and it got heavier, so I jerked harder, these seekers are limper than the berkleys I’m used to. Then up floated a king, it didn’t look big but as it trashed slowly on the surface it sounded big! It never ran, I cranked it right to the boat and whacked it on the head with a wooden gaff, that pissed it off and it ran! I whacked it 2 more times when it came close but he never did submit, the next time he came into range I stuck him with the gaff! I was hootin and hollering, damb near lost my voice!

Kodiak tuna are in! 67 pounds bledout!

Daymn - that thing is a pig.

Looks like a carbon copy of a pic I have of one that won the Sitka Derby back in the 70's

It's got size and CHROME. Big, dark uglys don't do it for me.

**** right, I'll take a chrome 67 any day over a 80-90-100 lbs. Kenai tomato. If its not chrome, I'm not interested.

    Nice fish ;-)

Not to take anything away from your fish pix KC, but I remembered having this image on my 'puter. Almost a carbon copy of the one you caught.

    Nice Fish!

And since nobody else asked, what was that new lure you picked up at the show?

shaped like an APEX but is boxy and can be opened for addition of scents.
