The main launch is now accessible, but there may be a random ice chunk in the launch area at times. Boats launched going both north and south on the Big Su today. Earlier this morning the Su was open until around 11:30 when an ice jam formed near the mouth of the Deshka. As of 5 pm today river is still jammed up. One boat maneuvered his way through the jamming ice early on and he was seen past Yentna Station later in the afternoon. As of Tuesday the ice on the Yentna had been jammed up, but it seems like there was a huge flush out of the Big Su and Yentna Rivers on Tuesday night. Water conditions remain low, approximately 3 feet from the end of the culverts to the water line. Large chunks of ice and timbers pose a challenge at this time.
We hope to see you this weekend!!
