    Default CCW Holsters

Whats your favorite CCW holsters? OWB IWB etc etc.... Theres so many hoslters on the market it can make your head spin, and I do not want to build a collection. On top of that being wrong handed sucks, no one carries a decent inventory of left handed holsters in town. But, on the bright side, I have a good selection on the internet.

    Lets hear it.

    Thumbs up holster

What kind of pistol do you carry concealed. I carry a 45 Officers Model in an Askins Avenger. It has adjustable carry angles and sits high and tight and is offered in both left and right handed models.

currently, I dont. I am going to toss a bunch of lead down range at unsuspecting paper targets so I am comfortable and trust the gun before I even think of carrying it.

I use a safariland paddle for my colt. Working at the airport, its alot easier to take off. Kinda bulky though compared to alot of others.

    Default The hidden holster

I have a Milt Sparks Executive Companion for my custom Browing Hi Power. My 1911 is carried in a Kramer horse hide inside the pants holster. I have no idea how many "presentations" I have made from these hosters. Both are of excellent quality and design. I secure them with a stout belt so they stay put and can't imagine life with out them.

For OWB I use a Galco Concealable, IWB I use a Comp Tac C.T.A.C. both for a USPc .40. I really like both, the CTAC conceals very well is is quite comfortable. My girlfriend often doesnt know I'm carrying.

    Default Holsters

Depending on the time of year and the activity will depend on which holster I use for my Glock. Sometimes a Smartcarry, sometimes a Galco IWB, and sometimes a Blackhawk CQC Serpa OWB. Either way, most of us will end up with a box of holsters that we don't use because you have to find one that is comfortable for you and your carry piece.

Good luck on finding one that is right for you.

    Default CCW

I use a Yaqi slide from Galco for OWB and a Kramer IWB 2. Both have worked well for years.

I, too, have the proverbial "leather box." I played around & played around, and finally found a home for my 1911 with the Milt Sparks Versa-Max II inside-the-waistband. The sucker is comfortable.

I ordered the Comp Tac CTAC for my XD 45. I hear nothing but good things about this IWB holster. The pictures of people wearing this holster is amazing, you cant even tell they are carrying. It should be here sometime before the end of the month. Now I just need to get some range time and lob a few hundred rounds down range.

I carry a Glock 22 in a DeSantis Cozy Partner. It's a decent holster for an off-the-shelf brand. I want one for my BHP.
My next full time carry IWB will probably be either a Milt Sparks or Mitch Rosen.
I also have a Galco Combat Master OWB for when I'm not concerned about it being exposed.
    Now what ?

    Default service

I ordered directly from Comp Tac. I had my holster in 3 days, with a roll of smarties and a handwritten thank you note. I was impressed, its definatly worth buying from them again.

I hear Comp Tac is a really small company that has some great service. Heck, if you dont like your holster you can return it within the first 30 days and get it replaced by one of their other holsters.

Check out Tucker Gun Leather. They have some great quality IWB holsters. I have the Texas Heritage and like it. Some folks swear by the answer. Very good equipment. I also got a gun belt with velcro sewed on the inside and it makes for a very concealable system.

If you want to learn a lot about CCW go to Glock Talk and look at their concealed carry forum.
