I've been meaning to meet yah since I made it back home. You and the grandkids are more n welcome to jump in the canoe and go dip net my honey hole with me. Stayed up till 4:00 AM cleanin them. I don't pay too much attention to the tide.......I just go when I feel like it. But generally speaking.....you'll want to hit it an hour before high tide(till it comes up, and and hour before the tide goes out. I don't follow this though, and always seem to get em when they're runnin.

    Default freighter gathering?

I'm stretched way too thin the next month darnit, or I'd suggest we have a Saturday evening freighter gathering up that way.

Maybe next year? Or you guys do it this May and I'll join ya next May?

THAT is an AWSOME idea. I'm down. there really arent many of us, so a gathering of some sorts would be a good thing. There's only about 6 or seven of us on this forum who actually run rivers up here with a square sterned canoe. So.....any time of the year would be good.
