    Default 2010 bear count so far....

    Just came back from Kevins shop in Fairbanks, and he recieved his first bear of the season, a grizz.Does anyone else know of any bears being harvested already?

    This is making mt cabin fever even worse now, because the dang river is still frozen argh!........

    Daniel, if you are counting Browns/Grizz? There's been a few that I know of already, anywhere from 16B to 13. I don't know of any blacks yet though and I was hoping that I would be the first but the bear had other ideas. Headin back out early tomorrow to see if we can close the deal and put some ribs on the grill...

    I know of one black killed on the kenai, guy killed one while hiking in to bait up his station.

    Hope they come out soon headed up in two weeks to hunt with a buddy up there. He said he isnt seeing many 2 so far. Plane tickets where purchased a while back.

    Saw a cow with a pair of cubs yesterday, on Elmendorf... With about 15 cars on the side of the road taking pictures. lol

    Got a GRIZ track near mine (according to friend). We'll see what we got tonight. I'll putting out the STEALTH CAM!

    Daniel in Ak and myslef made it most the way out to the mining claim yesterday...we could have gone all the way but we were not planning that trip and not geared for it.. things are easy two weeks early...things are much dryer even with the rain then a normal break up brings.

    Oh I know, I made it to the bait last week with no hitches, it looked more like the third week in May than the last week in April.

    Not so sere about that.. I have shot Black bears off of bait by the 5th of May two years in a row... I've had blackies hit my station as well.
