Thread: Sling swivel stud - Loctite?

  1. #1

Default Sling swivel stud - Loctite?

Do you use Loctite to keep the sling swivel stud (on the stock) in the correct position for proper alignment with the sling swivel part? When my studs are tightened up they are not in proper alignment with the swivel and therefore have to be backed off and are then loose. Blue or red loctite or ???? Thanks.

I like to use loctite 416 on them. Just make sure they re properky indexed before you let them dry. The 416 is like super glue just more super, it sets really fast too so work quick.

Just run it in, labor is free to secure them studs...and you get to watch the Kid stick his fingers together with his super duper loctite

    Wildalaska,
Thank you for the offer, but I'm in Fairbanks. It sounds like I need to use loctite and hope I never need to remove the studs? Thanks.
