Default Will a 10hp push a loaded 19ft drift boat upstream

Will a 10hp long shaft push a loaded 19ft drift boat upstream on the Kenai or comparable river ?

How fast does it go in calm, non-current water? Like a lake? Do you think it will be faster than the current or no?

Yes, it will without a doubt, but it won't be fast! I have a Honda 9.9 on my 17 ft Willie and it does the job. Numerous guides run 9.9's on their 19 and 20 ft Willies on the Middle Kenai.

I have seen 9.9's on boats that size in a variety of strong current rivers.

It'll push it... but you are not breaking any speed records... Whats the hurry though
