    Default Down bags?

I was always told that down bags arent good cuz if they get wet, they dont dry out all that fast. I've never bought one but would love a lightweight bag.

Any thoughts from folks that have tried them?

I know the other bags get wet also but they still have the warming capabilities (to a certain degree, wet is wet)

    Thanks
    Joel

When wet, down bags lose their loft and the down, or feathers, clump up and lose all their heat retention characteristics. Getting them dry takes time, usually a lot of time. Not recommended on most Alska hunts. You'll only do it once, honest.
On another note, I watched my hunting partner last year get into a Wiggy bag pretty wet, I'd have never would have done it. He states it he sleep well and I saw he was pretty dry in the morning.
