Thread: Eklutna Lake wishful thinking??

    Default Eklutna Lake wishful thinking??

So I've been out of town for the last week and half, so don't really have a feel for how much snow is gone, but I am hoping to go up to Eklutna and ride around the lake possibly. I am hoping that the road/trail is clear as its on the north side of the lake it gets the most sun. Do you think riding bicycles up that way is going to be possibly anytime soon or just wishful thinking??

There was an all women's adventure race in that area on Saturday. They started at Mirror Lake and I think they originally planned a mountain bike course Eklutna Lake and had to change it due to the amount of snow up that way.

    Could change quick though.

Will do. She did say that nature groomed the lake perfectly for skate skiing. They skied the length of the lake yesterday.

I asked what it looked like up there today and she thought that it might be bike ready by this weekend. There would probably be snow in the shaded areas still. The melt is on!
