Default I'm looking for a supercub pilot for sheep hunt

I was lucky enough to draw a sheep tag in the carpenter creek area of the chugach mountains. Looking for me and a friend to get flown in around August 8th for a 5-7 day trip, any help would be appereciated. Thanks

Let us know... 2 cubs w/ big tires within earshot.

PA12 you'd be looking at 500lbs max load.

I did a fly out sheep hunt a three years ago with Gary Bishop of Palmer Air. At that time he was flying hunters in to the Chugach. He flew us in an out without without problem, had fair prices, and was a professional and friendly. I'd definately fly with him again.

Would you have a number where I could get ahold of Gary bishop?

Default Bill Wiederkehr of Wiederkehr Air Inc.

We used Bill Wiedekehr out of Palmer for a flight into the Chugach in 06. I would highly recommend him.

Try 907-745-7282. That's the number that pops up online. If that doesn't work I'm pretty sure I have his number in with some of my hunting paperwork at home and could look tonight.

    Default Chugach sheep air taxi

Did all of my "late season" sheep hunts in the Chugach and flew with Bill Wiederkehr and before that with his father. Bill has been flying that area for over 2 decades and is someone that I have sufficient confidence in to let him fly my sons in with me on sheep hunts into the areas of the Chugach that he flys into. Not only is he good .... but he does know where the sheep are. Both he and his father Loren used to fly for F&G when they did their sheep and goat surveys of that area!

Bill Wiederkehr is one of the best cub pilots around. His father was better. Like the previous poster said, Bill flew almost all of the ADF&G sheep surveys for many years. I have heard good things about Gary Bishop too but I have never flown with him.
