    Default Water Levels

I have a hunt planned for August this year and am curious of how the snow/Rain fall has been so far? Does it look like the water will be low in August?? I am planning on heading into Unit 26. I am trying to gauge how the percip levels have been so far this year to determine if I will do a drop camp or a float hunt. I really do not want to be dragging a boat a whole lot.

Any pointers to guide me in my decision would help.

    Thanks
    Brian

    Default Ouch

Below normal to date however rain changes eveything. If our current interior moisture issues continue it is going to be a very long summer. I would actually check with NOAA to see what their weather stations have recorded for the area you plan on hunting and anything 100 miles in any direction if possible. Streams as you know have a tendancy to come from some place other than the position you are located.

I know Fairbanks had 11 inches of snow on the ground which is WAY WAY below normal.

Thanks for the reply BlueMoose. I have opted for a drop camp. Other resources have explained the low water levels.
