Default Best CAMPSITE or TRAVEL setups...

Okay, I got thinking we need a thread just showing our best (temporary) campsite setups or Travel setups with our vehicles.

So, post your best campsite (outdoor "condo" setups) or coolest vehicle lashdown/travel setups (like homemade vehicle chuckwagon-kitchens, or whatever). ANYTHING goes on this theme!

    Here's a simple start:

Man, that brings back some memories. We were really poor when I was a kid, my dad was in college in fact, but they took me to the Smoky Mountains and camped on weekends quite often. We had the same van, but ours was red/white.

That's what I'm TALKIN 'BOUT!!! Thanks guys! I knew you folks would "get it"!

It's not in the picture, but Dad built a whole big "chuckwagon" style "kitchen" that sat in the back of the VW where the open door is in the picture. It was awsome! First (and last) time I ever got motion sick was in that darn VW though! I'm the dude in the picture.

Here is a picture of my eventual camper setup...getting "preped" for the Alcan.
In the picture are two of my three best friends (more like Brothers)...getting me "squared away".
The third Brother is taking the picture. They completely helped me get setup for the BIG Alcan trip, to include the BEAR on top (look closely)
They are more like my Brothers than my own.

    Hello,

A few pictures from gold camp on our claim. We spend a month each summer in this tent camp. Enough blue tarps to get NASA's attention.

Camp and claim from nearby ridge. Cook tent, gear tarp, self-reflection tarp, and two tents.

Plenty of halibut line and bungees.

Bath tub and washboard. Tub is one of our quad trailers. Fill it in the morning....tolerable by evening.

    Mid-June frost.

Bruce, do you guys throw a piece of clear plexi across that TUB while heating it up during the day? It should vastly improve the solar gain, and hold the heat in longer.
