    Default Lightwieght Plastic boots

I'm thinking about going to plastic boots because I broke both sides of my ankle recently and was fortunate to draw a Goat permit. I'm not too happy about switching to Plastic but I don't want to take a chance on re-injuring my ankle and I'm pushing it a little with only 6 months healing time. I was looking at the Asolo afs 8000 but was looking for recomendations. I know there are older threads on this but wanted to know if there were any new lightweight plastics lately?

I cant comment on the latest technology in plastics, but I broke both of my ankles and to avoid problems in the field, I wear Koflach Hunters on every backpacking trip I do (whether hunting or not). It's gotten to where I really love hiking in them. They are awesome for kicking an edge in when sidehilling and the ankle stiffness when rock hopping is really nice...
