Default Upper Kenai Report (involving fish)

sorry had to put that in there so people dont confuse it with the other kenai thread going on right now. But floated the river with a couple buddies saturday and did rather well. Caught 4 Above sportsmans, mainly right above princess chute. Then floated past sportsmans and picked up 5 more. Here are some pics of the good times.

Must have been the day to have a boat!! I fished from 8 to 1 on Sunday and didn't even see a fish! I fished from the bridge down to Jim's and most places in between. I spoke with about 6 other fly fishers who had no luck either! Tried black leaches, flesh and ESL by the lodge with no avail...

Nice bows, glad to see you ran into a few!!

I think that front that moved in on Sunday really put all the fish to a halt. Should have went Saturday

Fishing on Saturday didn't seem to help me much either. Enjoyed the fishing aspect...especially the lovely breeze blowing off of the lake...

Nice job, did you have to get out of the boat and walk it through any spots or is the river on the rise.

I fished Friday Saturday and Sunday. Buddy I was with caught 2. I got one nasty old silver which I can't really count as a fish. Friday had crazy wind. Saturday was a little better but not much and Sunday was about the same. Sunday was definitely better than Friday. Nice fish man!

    Default thank you all

yeah i spoke with other people that had floated and they had no luck either. We even had a double hook up right by the big rock face after windy corner..Then we caught a fish right infront of a group banked up with a drift boat. We actually used a Big long gray and white articulating flesh. I saw alot of people throwing leaches. We tried beads and had no luck up by the bridge so we switched it up and immediately produced. So we tried different variations and production increased. The fish are there for sure.
