Nice kitty. Save me a little meat if you decide to eat it.

    Default lynx meat

Chilly, we all had lynx for dinner tonight. It was execllent! I fried it with some spice and rice on the side. I now feel like I have ben wasting it by using it for bait in the past. I saved some I will send with Mary this week.

    Cat the other white meat.

    Default Neat

Really nice to see a young kid out with his dad. It would be interesting to try eating lynx. I had a buddy in high school that was a trapper. One day for lunch he'd have raccoon, then muskrat, then woodchuck..... It all tasted good.

What trap did you use to catch that lynx? Looks like a double longspring.

    Default Vistor

Yes, it is a Victor #3 double longspring. I use mostly coil spring traps but have a few others around. It was caught pretty high on the leg.

    Default Eating Lynx

An old friend told my many years ago that his favorite way to eat a rabbit was to eat the lynx. I tried it after that and must agree that it is very good eating. The meat is light colored similar to the hares that they feed on. I like to take a hind leg and make a pot roast out of it along with some potatoes and carrots.
