Default 416 Remington 350 gr Speer Mag Tips for Alaska moose and bear?

I bought a couple of boxes of Speer Mag Tip 350 gr bullets for my 416 Remington..mainly for sighting-in and practice. How do these bullets work for moose and bear? I also have 350 gr Barnes TXS for more serious hunting. I plan to load them at about 2400-2450 fps using RL15. This is my new toy I had built over the winter. What do you think??

The Mag Tip should work just fine. It's a pretty stout bullet.

    Default good setup

I have no experience with the mag tips but the barnes is a great bullet. You have a good rig!

The 350 MT is a great bullet, though I might choose a Barnes over the Speer. Moose would work well for the MT.

    Default Well

I killed my moose with a 284 winchester last year using a 160gr Speer Mag tip so I'm pretty sure the 350gr mag tip is up to task
