I have had limited success in early Spring with whight flesh flies and dark brown woolhead scullpin's. I don't do very well there until a little later spring or early summer.

Quartz is open but it will close on May 1 for what its worth. I would be surprised if you had any success there until it reopens on June 11. Smolt patterns will work then as will brown nymphs.

Agree with the others, slow fishing there this time of year. BUT, funny thing is that many years ago when the stream was open to fishing all spring hubby and I caught several little grayling out of there and nearby Daves creek, about latter part of April and May. June be the time we started picking up smaller rainbows and dollies. Don't think the trout spawn in there, never seen any going thru the rituals.
