    Default First Caribou Hunt

I'm looking for info on a good Air charter out of Kotzebue for a first Caribou hunt for me and my son (camo kid). I have hunted the Mulchatna heard numerous times in the 90's, and understand the heard is in trouble. Any info would be helpful and appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Camo kids Father

Default Caribou Hunting out of Kotzebue

We use Ram Aviation in Kotzebue. We've used them for years and they do a great job. I heard they have a "draw loser special" going on to fill the last few spots they have at a discounted rate. Most of their hunts they do in the Noatak National Preserve which recently was limited to 4 or 5 operators. I think they got like half of the permits for the Noatak preserve or something like that. Good Luck

Better hurry or you won't get out of Kotz this year. Ram Air does have a good reputatiion although I have not used them.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm new to this forum, but thought I'd give it a shot. It's nice to know there's helpful info people are willing to share.
