    Default Fairbanks area trails

Has anyone ever been on the Dunbar old minto trail? It is the trail on the map that is between Nenana and fairbanks and travels northwest towards Minto. We are heading up there for some scouting this summer but was wondering if anyone is familiar with that specific area for wheelers... thanks ya'll.

...I used to live exactly halfway between Fairbanks and Nenana...

-I kind of heard about the trail you're asking about; but I don't really know anything about it.....

-my feeling about that area though... is I would definitely wear hip waders...

for the input so far. we are looking at accessing the area north of nenana and east of the tanana river. It's the very southern end of the minto flats area....

thats exactly it.... some atv access can be had from the north also have a good map of this this trail was a large issue at the BOG meeting a portion of the area is closed to motor access due to a park or preserve in the center of it all..

I tried hunting this area last year and found the only good way to access it was by boat. I also would not use the railroad tracks as a means of travel that is a big no no!! There also is a lot of private land in that area ie.. native alotments so I would Contact DNR before you start exploring.. The hip boot theory is a good idea aswell.... Good luck!
