Afternoon temps have been in the high 30's to low 40's with the sun out most of the past two weeks. Overnight lows have been in the high 20's and even near freezing for the past 4 nights.
Snow Depth At Landing Parking Lot:
4 1/2" wet snow in less than 8 hours early Tuesday morning.
Overland trails to and around the Deshka are showing bare dirt and lack of snow cover. Rivers are mostly solid ice now and are really breaking away on the sides. Most heavy hauling has been finished up this past weekend. Transition areas from river to gravel bars are starting to show weakening. The new snow is now covering overflow and hazard areas. At this time mainly seasoned vetrans are commuting in or out one last time before break-up.
