Just got off the the ADF&G Palmer office. The lady said they have some slots available. Their office is located at right near the fairgrounds/DMV in Palmer. You can call her to have your name put down then you have to go get the reading material and have it completed before class starts. I am going to the ADF&G office downtown today to pickup my stuff and will get more info. The numbers to call for Palmer are: 746-6321 The Anchorage office is 267-2196. More to report later!!

    Default Took the class today

It was reallyl good. Had a great time. Instructors were very good, enjoyed the stories, lots of humor, good info, everyone participated, weather was pretty good (no wind). First time shooting modern muzzle loaders. You could pretty much shoot as much as you wanted to. Had good guns, all the different poweders, balls, bullets etc...Glad I went. Worthwhile class in my opinion.

I learned a lot in the class. The instructors were great and very informative. Mr. Delo had a lot of fun and interesting stories to tell. Got to shoot a ML for the first time. The instructorís encouraged us to use different loads and experiment. I must of shot about 15-20 times. The weather was decent, still a lot of snow up there. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who hasnít shot a ML before. Now just got to get my Bow Cert and Iíll be ready for all the permits. Hope they can get a ML only permit done for sheep up in Chugiak. That would be great but a lot of work.

Their online schedule shows two classes this year with seats left, for the online version of the class (you still show up in person for one half day in-person training):
    http://www.wc.adfg.state.ak.us/index...es&classtype=m

And two classes still are open for the non-online class:
    http://www.wc.adfg.state.ak.us/index...ed&classtype=m

    PM sent with more info.
