    Default Willow trail conditions

Would like to take my boy out to Willow trails one more time Sunday. Anyone have a report about trails by Deshka or Crystal Lake...

    Default As of last Wednesday...

Went out Wednesday from another lake near Crystal. Roads are all bare but once on the trails it wasn't too bad. Getting a few spots of dirt here and there but still doable. Once I got to West Gate, took the trail down south onto the Big Swamp. Remember to jump into what was left of the soft snow beside the trails once in awhile to cool the hifax.
Was a hot day and I was regretting the fact that I wore any clothes at all! This is pretty much the last weekend to do it. Keep your sleds cool.

    Wink Still Ok!

If you want to ride in Willow it's still fair. But scratchers help. Road crossings suck but it's that time of year. I would park at Westgate Center so you don't have to deal with roads.
Will be out picking up signage today!
    See you on the trail!

    Default Thanks

Trail Boss for the great riding this year! I was talking to another Willowite this weekend and we both agreeded that when we were out on the trails this year you could always tell when you were getting close to home. It was almost like you were on autopilot...everything was well signed, smooth and well just a pleasure to ride on! So thanks for another great year.

    Thumbs up Riding!

So went down to the bottom of the Big Swamp on Sunday picking up lath and signage. Put up some new tripods and some new signage. It was realy nice down there with lots of snow still to be riden. I think it might hold out for this next week looking at the forcast.
    Get out and enjoy spring!

Last week with a couple of folks on their first snowmachine experience, we went down Big Swamp until the trail started getting really bad. The newbies first comments were questions on why the bumps were so bad there. I had to explain groomers and that Willow Trails puts a lot of effort into smoothing the trails that spoiled them up to that point.
Another excellent year for the Willow Trails. Thank you to the groomers!
