    Default 96 timberwolf 250

Looking at a 96 timberwolf 250 4X4 for the wife. I don't want a new or big machine for her as she doesn't ride very much and she wouldn't be comfortable on some of the big beasts out there. Anybody out there have any experience with these things. I know it runs, goes through all the gears and reverse works but it REALLY needs tires. Are these things dependable, or should I keep looking.

That is a reliable machine, but it is underpowered if you get in the mud. A friend of mine has one, and he likes it.

good dependable machine. If you don't mind "ghosting" it through the mud it will go most places pretty good. It is also a good boat wheeler as it is not too heavy. Personally though I would look for a big bear or kodiak.

Reliable, a bit underpowered, 3 wheel wonder and a bit tippy. If the price is right..... In 95 or 96 there were a lot of them sold as new old stock and the price was cheap. I should have bought one.

I would look at a Honda Foreman or Rancher if the Yamaha is priced too high.
