    Default Ferry Bridge

Anyone take a Suzuki King quad across the Ferry Bridge? I have heard of it before but wanted to verify. Thanks

I've taken my 2005 750 KQ across, I have to say that it was a squeeze fit but I was able to do it. It was a few years ago.

With stock tires you MIGHT be able to squeeze through. Everyone around there seems to have old hondas or dirtbikes to cross...

    Default Yes

I've taken both my 300 and 700 KQ's across, 700 scrapes/rubs in several areas if that bothers you, doesn't me. Stock tires on both.

I believe when built the pedestrian part of the bridge was 48 inches, However over time the bridge was become almost serpentine like moving a little each freeze and thaw cycle. Last I heard the bridge measures between 43 to 45 inches in the tight spots.

I have made it across with MudLites on my KQ 27x12-12. As I said it was a SQUEEZE fit. I even spayed my sidewalls with grease.

Take a couple rachet straps with you tie up the suspension
could pump up the tires a fair bit to make them taller

Thanks for the input. I have a 2008 450 KQ, I dont know if it is smaller than the 700, i think they were built on the same frame. Sounds like it will be a squeeze but should fit.

    Default Size does matter...

I hunted up there a couple years back with some buddies. We had heard about the tight squeeze, so we made certain to measure our machines. They did make it with a little rubbing. However, in our planning we didn't think to measure our meat trailers. Two of the three were too wide and we had to literally carry them across (got lots of "looks" from people, but we didn't care...we came to hunt, not impress). Needless to say, the next year we made certain to check the width of everyting and we packed a bit lighter as well.

A few miles north of Healy, there is a RR Bridge and the Ferry Crossing.

well two ways to find it...

1.. Aug 28-September 23rd... Follow the line of traffic on the parks highway north... they all turn at the same spot...

2.if by chance you caught a lull in the ebb of people... just look for the little dirt road that has people quintupled parked for 2 miles up and down the road to the bridge... you'll know you have the right one by all the filthy looks those ahead of you will give you for finding their spot too...

this is the Ferry bridge in Ferry... last year an estimated 1500+ hunters crossed it into the ferry trail management area,,, more came in through the coal mine on permit ..

come on up... we have ONE hell of a party

but unless you have an any bull tag any more your waisting your time
