    Default Petersburg Area Halibut Fishing

We're renting an 18 ft sled in Petersburg the week of September 5-11. We're looking for some fairly protected halibut holes where we have a good chance at catching fish. Any Ideas that you can share? Thanks in advance!

    Default Butt

It won't be a good time of year really to get into a lot of butt and where you're at is pretty sporadic anyway. My recommendation - get a chart, look for humps or valleys, try fishing. If you get a few bonus! Please take it easy on the rockfish, if you're hammering quillbacks try a new spot. 100-250' of water. Also ask your boat rental place, I'm sure they have info.
