    Very interesting. Thanks for sharing HD. Nice to know the local biologists are up on the research. Very clear that research is needed after describing goats as "the most understudied ungulate in North America." Apparently managing 31 micropopulations is the way to go for goats on the Kenai. But like sheep without yearly population surveys the management is much less effective. Somehow we got to get funds to manage wildlife populations. It may sound communist, but I think we should have to buy a tag for each species we hunt and the funds should fund basic research on that species. JMHO
    I come home with an honestly earned feeling that something good has taken place. It makes no difference whether I got anything, it has to do with how the day was spent. Fred Bear
