Default what are you lefties shooting?

I have the browning a-bolt 375 H&H and love it. Looking to replace my ruger m77 300 win mag. Have looked at the Savage (like the tang safety), the remington, Tikka and a very expensive Weatherby in ultra light. Not much selection for stainless/composite. Wish browning made their mountain ti in lefty. What else am I missing for comparison?

Starting about 40 years ago I got in the habit of rebarreling the only real lefty available then, the Remington 700. Like the action or not, but the same applies to any lefty you like. Don't be afraid to rebarrel to get what calibers you want. Find a good buy on a used one in a standard caliber then go to work. Match the original barrel contour, or go to work on the stock or replace it. Ever see a left handed 257 Roberts long-throat? Had one for going on 40 years now. Find an lefty 06 of your choice and rebarrel it to have one of your own.

I've also developed a real fondness for Ruger #1's, both in standard calibers and rebarrels. Then there are all the levers out there. With the levers the only hassle will come in the older 99's on the scene before they switched to a tang safety. That safety on the lever was a real hassle for us lefties! A real sleeper (also hard to find and expensive now) was the 99 in 284. Mine will group right there with a lot of bolts, and provides just the right mix of long range accuracy and quick handling for the close stuff.

    Stainless rugers with Lilja barrels
Couple of Win 70 short mags, nice and light and pretty accurate
Montana Rifle Company 35 Whelen with Lilja tube
Couple of Savage rimfires and a .223
    Anshultz, CZ and Cooper rimfires
    Double rifles in various calibers.
    Stag Arms .223

Of the centerfires the Savage is the most accurate rifle I currently own and it is bone stock. Followed by a Ruger 9,3x62 with its 20 inch barrel seems to put most anything under an inch every time I hit the range. The more I hunt the less concerned I am with high velocity and like rifles/calibers that shoot fairly heavy slugs that will hit about dead on at 200 yards if sighted in 2inches high at 100. Exceptions to this are the 270 and 300 WSM which were built to be light and reasonably flat shooting for sheep, etc.

Default Another vote for the Ruger #1

Most of my life(and still), I've been rocking Winchester levers. I've got 3 Big Bores, two in 375Win and one in 356Win, but have to say that I really like the Ruger #1 a lot and my 45-70 "feels" right.
Can't explain it, but this one talks to me. Wears a Galco ammo carrier on the buttstock and NECG sights.

I have a 99C in the 284 great gun and caliber! One day I will find a pre-mil in a 243 winchester at a reasonable price. Saw a 99 in 284 at the gunshow this past weekend but what they did to it the person should be shot it was a travesty.

No, it is the original barrel. Ruger Alaskan left handed that originally came with the gray laminated stock that was replaced with a McMillan.
    Just forget to mention it

Both of my bolt actions are left handed.

-Rem. 700 LSS in .338 RUM
-Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 30-06 Spr.
-Marlin 1895 GS in 45-70 Gov.
    -H&R Handi. in .243 Win.
-Browning BPS Upland Special in 12 Ga.

Oddly enough I shoot handguns with my right hand (still sight with left eye) so I don't have any left hand adapted handguns.
