    Default A little tying

Over the past few days I have hit the bench a bit and produced some new (new to me) patterns. I am tying for a trip to a local Creek down here to fish bows and browns for my first trip of the season (and hopefully last here in NE).

    Here are some Chronomid Patterns(#18):

This is a #20, my first one this small:

Great flies! I love tying midges and nymphs. And they are effective. Sometime I do missing fishing those types of patterns more often.

I'm currently reading "Small Fly Techniques" by Larry Tullis - great stuff. There's just no denying trout eat a lot of the small stuff too many people never fish with.
