    Default .300 Whelen

Anyone read the great article in this month's Rifle magazine on the new spiffy .300 Whelen wildcat? That's about the funniest thing I've read in awhile!

I would think a 30 cal Whelen would bring you right back to 30-06. That is of course if they are necking down the 35 Whelen to 30 cal

Yeah, I read most everything in "Rifle" and "Handloader".

The guy who wrote that, Ron Spomer, always trys to write with humor, and lots of it.

That what it was, and the humor of it all.

All the attributes of this wonderful new cartridge, were those of the 30-06

    What's next a .458-.338. Heard it's called the .458 Taylor
