Winter king derby?

So the Homer king derby is coming up in a week and a half. This will be my first time fishing the derby and I am looking forward to it. I have been busy getting things ready to go and make sure the boat is ready to fish. Anyone else fishing the derby and feeling lucky.

If the roads are cleared up by then...Any idea on how many will be going down Friday! I will assume there will be boats lined up on the way out of town.

Heading down friday night hoping to beat the crowds to the launch I plan on spending the night in Sadie cove and picking up the rest of my crew saturday morning then run out and catch a 40lb king or two

The first place fish was caught on my boat last year so I'm ready to win again. The wife and I are heading down thursday a.m. Staying at the Bidarka for 3 nights. They're dog friendly.
