    Temperatures:

Temps on Mon-Wed afternoon were in the low 40's, but luckily we fell to 23 degrees overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday. High on Thursday stayed around freezing. Windy in the morning with no snow in sight.

Snow Depth At Landing Parking Lot:

No new snow since last Friday.

    Trail Conditions:

Trails are super hard. You may run into some ruts from frozen overflow at times, but most of that is north of Yentna Station. Larry H. groomed south out of the launch today and rerouted the trails to a smoother section around the open lead (that has been there all year). This was the worst part of the trail, but if you follow the reroute you should have improved trail smoothness. Dave L. has been steadily grooming from his place down an Dan G. has been coming south out of Yentna Station. Above his place you find the trail hard and flat light will definately not help you to see the ruts ahead of time. No overflow on the trails has been reported, it is just if you stray off the staked path.

    Default Updated Report Friday Afternoon

Trails are super hard. You may run into some ruts from frozen overflow at times, but most of that is north of Yentna Station. Larry H. groomed south out of the launch today and rerouted the trails to a smoother section around a newer hole downstream from the regular open lead that has been there all year. Stay to the left of the first open lead along the bank and follow the stakes through the newer section of the trail. If you stray off the marked trail you will definately run into soft snow and overflow. Dave L. has been steadily grooming from his place down an Dan G. has been coming south out of Yentna Station. Above his place you find the trail hard and flat light will definately not help you to see the ruts ahead of time. No overflow on the trails has been reported because the temps have frozen it up.

    Thumbs up

You guys rocked at the Landing this past weekend. Was up there for the Iditarod restart with a bunch of friends, and we really appreciated the parking options. Got there later than we'd hoped, and still have ample parking available. Was a good run down the Deshka to our dogsled watching spot along the river -- a fun day.
