    Default BoG Results

Can we get a link to the outcome of the BoG results in "Sqarebanks" kind of like what we had on here for the Los Anchorage one last yr? Those of us that hunt in that area and live else where would like to know.

The meeting is still going on as far as I know, I think public comment's wrapped up yesterday. The " Squarebanks" comment is kinda out there when you want to hunt in the area. Not sure you are going to find to many friendly face's with that atitude. ( I did see that you refered to anch as LOS, Anch)

I believe they are in the desciousn stage now.

Default It's all in fun skipper

No disrespect towards any one location there, it's all in fun comming from a Wasilla-Billy. We have fun names for just about every place we go here in this state for fishing or hunting.

But if anyone has updates please pass them on. Thanks

    Default Just be glad

Just be glad you aren't a Whittiot, or a Homeroid, or suffer From Valdisease, or you could wind up a Cordaver.

also be careful who you get cozy with in the mat-su, i hear you can catch wasyphillis or palmydia.

vince has posted a few updates on the BOG happenings in some hunting forum threads. apparently you can watch the happenings live if you have the bandwidth.

    Default Thanks

The link is working and I'm listening now. My neighbor had wasyphillis a few years back, it took the Dr's a few months to figuare it out but now he's fully recovering with just a few minor ticks that plauge him.

Does anyone have updates for the first few days of the BoG? I'm really looking for the information on the 40mile caribou hunt.

they passed prop 14 as written, and almost added a youth hunt but left it to the f&g to sort it out later.....

Sounds like the 40 mile hunt is going to be interesting this fall.

Can you clarify what you mean by "they left it to f&g to sort it out"? Will F&G have the authority to add a youth hunt, or are they waiting until next year when F&G can get a better handle on how things go this fall?

Brian, the Department has discretionary permit authority to change hunt start dates, split hunt etc. Having said that though, based on what I heard, they aren't going to be creating a separate youth hunt or alter what was in Prop 14 that passed.
