    Default Swift A-Frames in a 44

I picked up a box of 300gr Swifts tonight and was wondering if any of you guys have had experience with them. I am thinking of using a handgun on the bait station this year, and think these might be the ticket. Problem is I know Swift bullets are tough and I don't know if the velocity to get them to expand is obtainable from a 4 or 4.5 inch barrel.

    Any thoughts?

They're fine at the higher velocities of my 429 wildcat and probably in a 444, but I'd expect you'd need to launch your 44 mag out of a rifle to get any significant expansion from the smaller case.

That is kinda inline with what I was thinking, but hey, how could I pass up a full box for only 10$. I may load some up to try, hardcast slugs work well with little to no expansion, right? And if not a buddy just got a 444, they should rock out of that thing.
