Default WOW, what a GREAT Supersite.

I wanted to say what an AMAZING site this is.
I have browsed around and made a few comments in some great threads...and just WOW. I don't even know which corner of the place to begin. ALL my interests are here.

Lotsa work has obviously gone into the place, and what a resourse for old time Alaskans, and tenderfoot alike. Not to mention a hell of a resourse for folks thinking about visiting.

KEEP UP the GREAT work folks! It HAD to be said...and deserved it's own thread.

    Thank you.
Yeah, I'm in Sun City...so a little (Alaska People-like) cacoon on the edge of the nightmare we call Phoenix. So, I've got it pretty good...but DREAD anytime I have to go into town. (many stories).

Good to be here. Amazing site...("supersite" is accurate). Makes me homesick, for sure. Need a PHOTO trip, SOON!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, mods.

How old is your mom? Family guy makes it sound like you are almost 100.

Even Surprise can be dangerous (the El Mirage part).
I carry a .38 jframe anytime I leave Sun City.
I don't let my wife even go to Safeway alone.
Pretty good Home Alarm system as well.

But Sun City is like a cacoon in the middle of it. Very safe here.
All retirement folks, and a huge population of retired Alaskans.

We have what we call Alaska Earthquake parties...and don't think that these retired folks have forgotten how to have a good time.

I like it here because most of the folks still have "old fashioned" values.
They still say "thank you" when you hold a door for them, and they HAVEN'T let the cell phone rule their lives.

I'm just 48, so I still Hike(the canyon)/Shoot/Golf/Hunt/Photo plenty...but even the older folks here are VERY active. Dad's going to be 82 or 83, and we work out together at the gym 3days a week...he still gets confused for 60yrs old.

I'm thinking about getting adopted ever at the Metal shop ($15/year membership) here. Full metal shop (ie: read that gunsmith shop) w/Retired machinists and metalsmiths with nothing better to do than abuse (and teach) a younger guy like me!

NICE woodshop here also, but I've got all that stuff in the garage. (w/spend MOST of my time). I still (parttime) Guide, Golf, Pistol Shooter and Wildlife Photographer. Life is good here. BUT, Still need an Alaska (STILL think of it as home) Photo trip soon!

He has to know something, though it's tough to tell from his postings.

The Alaskan Earthquake partys up here are the "BUNNY BOOT HOP"

Get a bunch of rascal's together in a bar out dancing with there bunny boot's on and it feel's like an earthquake.

    Default Arizona Hot spots?

Noticing a bunch of Arizona guys on here, I'm in Tucson for a couple weeks, actually have car will travel all over (but no guns with me or time for permits),

Can you guys give me any ideas for good outdoor stores with Reloading experts behind the counter for one,

and Secondly, any places "I Must See" in your state, I drove down from Denver and this country seems to feel like it is crawling with wildlife.

I may buy a Predator call and try some photography of coyotes up close or something. Just want to get into the desert while here maybe find some of those tiny deer, Coues' I think it is?

Good places to hike around to see something

I'll return the favor if you are ever on Kodiak Island

    Default thanks!

It takes the whole community to make this work, but for my part, thanks for the kind words.

We have over 50,000 pages on this site, so be sure to get out there beyond the forums! Tons of info here.

We're working on our site organization, so hopefully the site will be even more user-friendly in the future.

    Take care,
