    Default 22lr & 22mag

I have a .22 pistol that has a lr and mag cylinder. Can I shoot 22lr cartridges through a .22 magnum cylinder?

    Thumbs down no

They don't fit right. You won't like what happens if you try it.

No. I've seen split cases from .22LR ammo being shot mistakenly in a .22 magnum.

There is a reason the revolver comes with two cylinders.

Nope, the mag case is larger diameter.

Ok. It does seem logical that it came with two cylinders. I thought .22 mag may just be longer, but not a larger diameter. Glad I asked before I hit the range tomorrow.
