    Default Garmont Issues

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I should worry about it.

I recently bought a pair of Adrenalins from Sierra Trading Post. This is my first experience with AT boots. They fit o.k, though I'm going to see a boot fitter to make them comfortable (hopefully) but my issue is this: When in walk mode, if I lean too far forward, I hear a rather loud "pop" and the boot seems to slip forward a bit. The lower buckle on the shin section of the boot will actually make contact with the top buckle on the foot section. I returned the first pair of boots I received because this happened easily, even while walking around the living room. With that pair, both boots would do it, even in ski mode if I leaned forward too far.

So far, with this pair it has only happened a couple of times. Yesterday it happened when I forgot to flip into ski mode before hitting some cut-up powder at Alyeska.

    Anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks

One thing to keep in mind is AT boots are much softer then regular alpine boots, sounds like you are over flexing it, but it could be the walk/ski mode switch is broken...

    Default Girdwood ski and Cycle

Anyone have any experiences (good or bad) with Girdwood Ski and Cycle for boot fitting?

Jim is pretty good at about anything that he does. Make sure to deal with him. He occasionally gets some local folks to watch the shop while he's out.

What size are you wearing? I have a pair of Endorphins in 26.5. They don't do that for me. Perhaps you could try mine on [using your liners! :-)]and see if it does the same thing?

    Default Thanks

Thanks, but mine are 28.5. I talked with Jim at Girdwood ski and cycle and it sounds like he knows his stuff. He doesn't think what I'm describing is exactly normal, but says he's been able to work with similar issues in the past and thinks we can get it figured-out.

    Thanks for the input.

Mine would be a tight squeeze for ya! I'm sure he will take care of you. Good luck!
