Thread: Forum Derby

    Lightbulb Forum Derby

    Just as fodder for discussion:

I don't know if this has been brought up before or not, but, what would you guys think about creating a sticky thread for an online fish derby? This is not the fish forum, I hope the moderator doesn't kick me out. What I was thinking, is to post a picture of your fish (different species, different category) with a way to prove its size with a tape measure, or whatever. This would be an honor based competition. The only prizes are bragging rights. So who's the Coho King?

I use my boat to get to fishing locations, and I personally hate when moderators move a thread into a "more appropriate location"

Maybe we'll require folks to post their lat/lon along with the fish pic Just funnin.

    Talking Trust me, really...

Sooooooo ironic that all the giant fish I caught I don't have photo's of, but all the small ones I have lots of photos of. Can we just vouch for ourselves to have the biggest fish?

Doug, that's actually a very cool idea!

Hey. I think that would be cool. I would love to see how big a prawn can be caught. What if it is required that the photo have at least part of the boat in the pic to qualify for the power boating forum?

Wish I would have read this before yesterday, we got the biggest spot I've ever caught yesterday. My boy described it as ginormous! Just so this belongs in the power boating forum, we were on a Trophy 2359

I would like to submit a picture of my good friend's catch...

I believe it was caught with a #4 vibrax, blue...

After a hard fought battle, my buddy managed to hold this guy up long enough to snap a quick pic...

I'm sure he's got this contest in the bag.....

I like the idea of a virtual derby. Good idea to have a picture with fish and boat.
