Kotz bou...tough trip, warm temps kept animals from getting to us in the foothills. Shot this meat bull. WINDY!

    Default sum it all up

this pic sums it up for me in 2006...had a great time in the alaskan bush. Military has decided its time to move and I will be heading to Colorado to chase elk and deer next fall. Thanks to all that have shared info and helped me get started in AK hunting the last 3 years.

    Default Congratulations....

On a successful year! You have fulfilled dreams of a lifetime of men/women all over the world in just one year.

Good luck in Colorado, I am certain you will find success in that great state as well, even if your tag remains unfilled.

And most of all, thank you for your continued service in our armed services.
When all else fails...ask your old-man.

    Jason,

You going to keep your Alaska Residency and plan to return to the great state or you hitting the road permanently? Only ask as I am a product of military relocation and the ultimate end was coming back here.

    Default 2006 What A YEar!

Went to Montanna. Saw some smaller elk and mule deer, but no luck on anything I wanted to take, so off to Delta Junction. I spent six days hunting bison, made over 12 stalks, saw +6 huge bulls that I could not get a clear shot on and finally at the last min after passing on a number of bulls, larger than this one. I could not stand it any longer :-)

    Default 2006 What A Year

Deer hunting Iowa. I saw plenty of smaller bucks, 3 Big 150 + Bucks that I could not get in range, but I ended up getting this young man his 1st deer and Miss Ruth put the smack down on a nice 8 point.
Well Dang! I ran out of room.......lol! If you want to see the whole year, check out the following link :http://new.photos.yahoo.com/free2pla...60762322474939
