Default Anybody got plans for the Quest?

It starts in Faibanks this year. Is anybody handling dogs or going to the start? http://www.yukonquest.com/
If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction.

    Default Maybe

The retriever club used to show up in force to help handle dogs at the start. That was a blast. I've been licked, bit, peed on, drug, and run. You name it, anything can happen at the start. I've even had dogs crawl in my lap looking for loving.
My wife and I and friends might head up to the cabin. It sits right where the trail crosses the middle fork of the Chena. We'll sit out with a fire going and maybe a lantern. Most of the mushers holler a greeting, surprised to see anybody out at night except themselves. It is pretty neat to hear the sled coming up the trail in the dark, and then seeing the musher's light.
Folks hopefully will show up to support the mushers. They sure do a lot of work to get to that point. Hopefully everybody makes it down the trail safely.

Yep, I'm cooking for Mile 101 checkpoint this year. Last year I handled for Wayne Hall. I'm looking forward to it as I love 101.

Home! 6 hours of sleep in the last three days. I'm just trying to rehydrate a few minutes before passing out. We had a great time working our asses off so will post about it tomorrow.
