On a more positive note, at least for those of us who scored at Christmas, Id like to hear what you all received as far as hunting goes.

I'll start, the wife bought me the new TC Encore Pro Hunter in .280 Rem, cant wait to get out and give it a shot, no pun intended

I recived an industrial strength meat slicer and a large dehydrator. It's not hunting equipment but, it is related.

    Smile Ruger

Santa dropped a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 mag under the tree this year. He (SHE really) even wrapped up a box of shells for a lil plinking on X-Mas day--Man I love not living in the city. Some snowshoes, hipwaders, various tools, and clothes also fit under the elegant plastic tree. I received a SOAR Levitator for my birthday in November as well. I made out **** good.

Carhartt jacket without grease stains, so I can be presentable; 2 quart Thermos, so I can have hot coffee all day, and a house in Palmer....finally got a tentative closing date! Once that's done, Santa can start getting us snowmobiles and a boat!

As far as hunting related gear goes I got a set of snap-caps for the .270 and a JetBoil set with both the pot and cup. I can't wait to get some fuel and fire it up. I'd like to compare it to my MSR Dragonfly and Esbit stoves. Maybe I'll do a comparison write up...
